While visiting an art pal in Portland, we both took an online personality test as a prompt for art-making. I learned that I was a catalyst in other people’s lives, encouraging them to find their passions.

How can I convey this in an image? Why, a catalytic converter, of course! This spawned a series of mixed media machine parts that led me to my first-ever solo show in New Mexico in 2016.
